IBA to Host Consumer Lending Webinar Series

The Iowa Bankers Association has canceled the Consumer Credit School that was scheduled for March 1-5. For bankers looking for consumer lending education, the IBA has developed an Introduction to Consumer Lending webinar series. The series of three webinars will be held March 4, 11 and 18 from 9 a.m. to noon each day. The first two webinars will cover lending basics, including credit evaluation and decision-making, current lending conditions, application investigation and an interactive case study. The third session will cover consumer lending compliance basics, including fair lending, Regulation B, disclosure requirements and adverse action notices. The course is designed for lenders new to the consumer loan position, credit analysts and credit administration staff, and any bank employee needing a refresher on consumer compliance and recent developments in the consumer lending field.
